Job Description:

REPORTING TO:                The Office Manager in the Corporate Secretary Department.

Responsibilities:

  • Make deliveries and run errands on a regular basis, as required;
  • Pick up and send mail and cargo, daily;
  • Ensure that office corridors, storage spaces and boardrooms are safe and tidy;
  • Light snow removal on stairs and ramp at the Head office, NRC building and 980 building;
  • Keep garbage bins and containers available and emptied as necessary;
  • Ensure that the messenger vehicle and all Makivvik vehiclesare well maintained and cleaned;
  • Assist staff to move heavy or bulky items during office moves or deliveries;
  • Pick up and drop ff of staff;
  • Pick up and drop off of staff at airport;
  • Perform other related duties within the scope of the position or as requested by supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma, is an asset;
  • Two (2) years of relevant experience;
  • Effective communication skills in at least two (2) of the three (3) languages: Inuktitut, English and/or French;
  • Basic computer skills : Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.);
  • Must posses a valid driver’s license;
  • Reliable, punctual and takes initiatives.
