Makivik’s Physical offices closed.

We have made the decision to close our physical offices until March 30th to ensure a healthy and safe environment for our employees. Our staff will continue to work from home. We encourage individuals trying to get in contact with Makivik staff to use the contact form on our website.

If the department you are trying to get in contact with is not listed, use the general inquiry option and your email will be forwarded to the appropriate contact.

The voicemail inboxes of our Kuujjuaq and Montreal office will be monitored periodically, but emails remain the best way to get in contact with us.

Makivik income tax program suspended until March 30th

Makivik has made the decision to suspend the Nunavik Volunteer Income Tax Program in response to the threat of the COVID-19 Pandemic. The suspension is scheduled to last until March 30.

Revenue Quebec, along with the Canada Revenue Agency, have extended the deadline to produce and file personal income taxes to June 1, 2020.

We will continue to monitor the situation, and if the program is to be postponed further, Updates will be listed here.

COVID-19: SUSPENSION OF ITINERANT COURT IN NUNAVIK

To help contain the spread of COVID-19, the Court of Quebec has currently suspended all travel to Nunavik from March 16th – May 4th, 2020 and has limited hearings to emergency or urgent matters only. Emergency hearings will take place in Amos by means of telephone and video conferencing.
