Corporate Administrator
Job Description:
REPORTS TO: The Head of Administration under the Corporate Secretary’s Office.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for organizing all meetings including Executive, Board of Directors (BOD), Annual General Meeting (AGM), and employee events;
- Assist with the coordination and preparation of all documents required for BOD meetings, conference calls and AGMs;
- Receive and coordinate the translations and proofreading of corporate documents, including documents required for various meetings;
- Assist with the administration of the post-secondary student grant fund;
- Attend, with other support team members, at BOD and AGMs at various meeting venues including in Nunavik;
- Act as the contact person for the Makivvik Board Members;
- Prepare and distribute meeting notices;
- Oversee the work of receptionist, messenger and administrative assistant;
- Act as liaison between Makivvik and the landlord regarding maintenance, etc.
- Responsible for the Makivvik internal directory;
- Responsible to update the St. Laurent office floorplan and to administer employee office keys and furniture. etc.;
- Be available to travel, as requested;
- Perform other related duties within the scope of the position or as requested by supervisor.
Qualifications:
- DEC in Management or relevant experience;
- Five (5) years of experience in management or related field;
- Excellent communication skills in Inuktitut and English (written, oral and writing), and French (oral) and French reading and writing are considered an asset;
- Advance knowledge in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.);
- Knowledge in using DiliTrust software;
- Proficient organizational skills;
- High level of professionalism with good interpersonal skills;
- Holds a valid driver’s license.
