This is to inform Nunavimmiut that there is a 2nd Call for Nominations for the following
communities for the position of community director of Makivvik.
Killiniq
Ivujivik
Elections will take place from 10 A.M. to 6 P.M on the following dates:
Advanced polls: Thursday, April 9th, 2026
Election Day: Friday, April 17th, 2026
*Runoff Election: Thursday, April 23rd, 2026
Eligible voters will have the opportunity to vote in person of online.
*In the event that no candidate is able to obtain a majority (50%+1) of the votes in a given
community, a Runoff election between the two (2) candidates earning the most votes will be held
in the concerned community.
The deadline to send the completed nomination forms is Friday, March
20th, 2026 before 5:00P.M. by email to elections@makivvik.ca
