Enrolment Office Registrar
Job Description:
Reports to: The Assistant-Director in the Corporate Secretary Department.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the Beneficiaries Register in accordance with the decisions of the Community Enrolment Committees and of the Enrolment Review Committee;
- Provide information to the Nunavik population concerning the beneficiary eligibility criteria and enrolment procedures;
- Provide necessary support to the Community Enrolment Committees, through their Landholding Corporations or the Northern Village of Puvirnituq;
- Provide ongoing training to the members of the Community Enrolment Committees and the Review Committee;
- Laise the registration of Inuit customary adoptions’ effects pursuant to the Inuit Competent Authority’ established process;
- Issue beneficiary cards and replacement cards to applicants;
- Coordinate out of territory benefits with organizations and departments;
- Prepare Action Plans, Budgets, Activity proposals, etc.;
- Take photos for beneficiary cards and other government identification;
- Assist in the planning of on-going improvements to the Eligibility regime (database, forms, registry, conditions, etc.);
- Be available to travel, as requested;
- Perform other related duties within the scope of the position or as requested by supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or proper combination of education and experience;
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in management or related field;
- Good communication skills Inuktitut (written, oral and writing), English and French are considered an asset;
- Great computer skills : Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.);
- Ability to use digital cameras and printers, other devices;
- Proficient organizational skills;
- Ability to deliver knowledge in training situations;
- Knowledge and understand of Inuit, their traditions, their culture and language, is important.
